Seedance 2.0 API pricing: cheaper than you'd think
By the Infer teamUpdated
Seedance 2.0 Pro costs $0.13 per second of output on Infer, flat, no resolution tiers. A 10-second clip runs $1.30. The same model on fal.ai costs anywhere from $0.2419/sec to $0.682/sec depending on tier, which puts a 10-second clip there at $2.42 to $6.82, up to 5.2x Infer's price for the equivalent 1080p output. What Seedance 2.0 Pro costs, by provider
| Infer | Flat rate, audio included | $0.13/sec | tryinfer.com/models/seedance-2-0-pro |
| fal.ai | Fast / reference-to-video | $0.2419/sec | fal.ai/seedance-2.0 |
| fal.ai | 720p standard | $0.3034/sec | fal.ai/seedance-2.0 |
| fal.ai | 1080p standard | $0.682/sec | fal.ai/seedance-2.0 |
Infer's own product copy states its $0.13/sec rate matches ByteDance's direct API price, but there's no separately confirmed ByteDance-direct number in this pack, so that row is a claim, not an independent figure, and is presented as such rather than as a fourth verified price. Replicate has no published per-second Seedance 2.0 rate as of this writing, so it's left off the table rather than estimated.
Infer hosts Seedance 2.0 Pro and every other model on this page, and takes the same cut regardless of which one you run. We have no favorite here: this is what the rate cards say.
What a real render costs
Same math throughout: price per second times clip length.
| One 5-second clip | $0.65 | $1.21 | $1.52 | $3.41 |
| One 8-second clip (Seedance's per-clip cap) | $1.04 | $1.94 | $2.43 | $5.46 |
| One 10-second clip | $1.30 | $2.42 | $3.03 | $6.82 |
| A 60-second ad cut from six 10-second clips | $7.80 | $14.51 | $18.20 | $40.92 |
The ad-length row is where the gap stops being an academic percentage: $7.80 versus $40.92 is the difference between a rounding error and a line item someone has to approve.
What actually moves the price
Infer doesn't split Seedance 2.0 Pro's rate by resolution or by whether audio is on. The flat $0.13/sec covers the whole generation, video and audio together, because the two come out of one joint generation pass rather than a video render plus a separate audio pass. That's also why there's no "audio toggle" surcharge to budget for, unlike models where audio is billed as an add-on.
fal.ai does split by resolution, and the split is steep: 1080p standard costs more than double the fast/reference-to-video tier ($0.682/sec vs $0.2419/sec) and more than 2.2x the 720p standard tier. Reference-to-video mode is actually fal's cheapest tier, not a premium one. If your workflow is reference-image-driven rather than text-only, fal's fast tier narrows the gap with Infer to about 1.9x instead of 5.2x.
Two changelog items affect what you're generating without changing the rate. As of July 13, 2026, Infer rolled out 1080p output on Seedance 2.0 Pro, though the model's own Infer page still lists 720p as its spec, a discrepancy that hasn't been reconciled as of this writing. Confirm actual output resolution on a test render before relying on 1080p in production. As of July 20, 2026, Seedance 2.0 Pro (along with Kling 3.0 Pro) supports up to 5 reference images per generation, at the same $0.13/sec rate. There's no per-reference-image charge.
Cheaper alternatives if $0.13/sec still isn't low enough
Hailuo 02 Pro is the cheapest video model in Infer's catalog at $0.08/sec. A 10-second clip runs $0.80 versus Seedance's $1.30, but it comes without Seedance's native joint audio generation, so it's a video-only trade if your clips need sound. Kling 3.0 1080p Pro sits between the two at $0.10/sec and ships native 4K capture, but no native audio on this tier either. Wan 2.2 T2V-A14B matches Seedance's $0.13/sec on Infer but is Apache 2.0 licensed and self-hostable, at Infer's own stated cost of "~85% quality compared to Hailuo 02 Pro." That trade is worth it only once render volume is high enough to make self-hosted GPU-hour billing beat the metered rate.
None of these three touch Seedance's actual differentiator, which is the joint audio-video pass. If audio is why you're looking at Seedance in the first place, the cheaper options aren't really substitutes. They're a different product.

Frequently asked questions
Why is Seedance 2.0 Pro 5x cheaper on Infer than on fal.ai?
Infer prices Seedance 2.0 Pro at a flat $0.13 per second, which Infer's own product copy says matches ByteDance's direct API rate. fal.ai splits the same model into tiers ($0.2419/sec fast/reference-to-video, $0.3034/sec 720p standard, and $0.682/sec 1080p standard), and it's that top tier that runs 5.2x Infer's rate. The gap is real, but it's specifically a 1080p-tier comparison, not every fal tier.
Does audio generation cost extra on Seedance 2.0 Pro?
No. Seedance 2.0 Pro generates audio and video in one pass rather than stitching a separate text-to-speech or Foley track on afterward, and Infer's $0.13/sec rate covers that jointly generated audio with no separate line item. That's a real differentiator versus a model like Veo 3.1 Fast on fal.ai, where adding audio adds roughly 50% on top of the silent rate.
Is image-to-video priced the same as text-to-video on Seedance 2.0 Pro?
Infer's Seedance 2.0 Pro page lists a single $0.13/sec rate and doesn't carve out a separate figure for the init_image image-to-video path, so i2v renders bill at the same per-second rate as text-to-video. There's no published surcharge for supplying a reference image instead of a text-only prompt.
Are there volume discounts for high-volume Seedance 2.0 Pro renders?
None are published on Infer's Seedance 2.0 Pro page as of July 2026. The one alternative billing structure Infer offers is its $49/month Unlimited subscription, which covers image and video generation with no per-call credits, worth comparing against the metered rate if you're rendering constantly rather than in occasional batches.
Does Seedance 2.0 Pro output 720p or 1080p?
Both, depending on which source you check. Infer's Seedance 2.0 Pro model page still lists 720p as the spec, but Infer's changelog states 1080p output rolled out for Seedance 2.0 Pro on July 13, 2026. The two haven't been reconciled yet, so confirm your actual output resolution on a test render before committing a production job to 1080p.
